SIMPLY AMAZED! (:
I am really amzaed by what God have done in getting the sign ups for Insomnia 2007. Yesterday, 10/9/07, TP had only 4 sign ups, which is 11 more to our goal and the Insomnia 2 is this friday, 14/9/07. I reflected and prayed to God "Why is the sign up so low, God? Isn't this your event?" and after praying I chanced upon this passage that says something like we should not do things with our own effort and not relying on God. Then Carmen also said that we have been boastful about our people and things like that. One week ago, we had the problem of too many Christian leaders and too little sign ups. I took time to reflect and prayed, and God showed that we are not dependent and relying HIM to do HIS event. We are simply too boastful. And what happened? Look at the sign ups, its super low. TP NEVER had this problem before!
I told the core and subcore about this.We really sat down and prayed and ask God to forgive us yesterday before dinner time. I really told God I am sorry, cos as a poly IC I thought I had ruin this whole event. Today we had a street E slot for poly serve, and I suggested to Louis and Carmen that why don't the TP people go back to TP to do Campus E and Publicity for Insomnia because I really have this strong urge that I must push for it for all I can and today is already Tuesday. So they allowed and we went back.
Then I saw Carmen approaching this BIG group all by herself, so Suxian and Me decided to go over and help. As walking there will take a while, I prayed to God to give me 6 sign ups for TP so we can at least have 10 sign ups. I then approached the table and publicise. Then the group of guys and girls called their friends and gather a lot. LASTLY, the results was : 9 sign ups, 3 paid on the spot!
WOW! I told God I was realy thankful and it is really Him working. Because I asked for 6 but He gave 9! AMAZING! Olivia and Eunice were so happy because God is really working. All our hard work paid off!
Then, I called the Christians to ask if they are bringing any friends and then from there 3 more joined. So total, 16 PEOPLE FROM TP ARE GOING TO INSOMNIA! (:
